Coose Gambler P (Imp I)
Presenting Coose Gambler Irish National Ploughing Match Junior Champion Bull 2016; another new addition to our herd sires. Displaying exceptional thickness throughout, this heterozygous polled bull is sure to leave progeny that are easily fleshed and display fantastic maternal traits. His mother is a consistent breeder of pedigree offspring with an outstanding amount of milk.
Since using Coose he has proven to be a very easy calving bull and has some of the highest maternal figures in the breed.
Wroxall Jerome P
Jerome P is out junior herd sire at Wroxall. His father Happy Chappy P was top price bull at the society's Worcester Sale in 2018 going to the Bowley Pedigree Simmental herd.
Happy Chappy was a very well structured bull with exceptional growth rates and lovely temperament. All traits that we feel have been generously passed on to Jerome P.
Forsdale Gallipoli P
Gallipoli P was purchased from Chris and Kath Martindale's Forsdale herd back in 2017. We were keen to retain one of Cocker Leeky's sons in the herd.
Gallipoli's grandmother was the great Hockenhull Sarah cow which will have given some great maternal traits pushing up our ease of calving figure, which is what all our customers seem to ask for. A high self replacing index was therefore very important for us looking to breed herd replacements with strong maternal traits.
We are also delighted to introduce our a new herd sire - Corskie Megastar P
Purchased in October 2022 Megastar has been running with some cows over the winter and we look forward to seeing his progeny on the ground later in the year. Watch this space.
